Gond Art Paintings-Made To Order

One of India's largest tribes practices Gond paintings, a form of folk art derived from tribal art. It is primarily the Gond people of Madhya Pradesh (Central India) that make up this group. 

A strong element of every Gond artist's work is story-telling, based on their folk tales and culture.

A Gond painting can be described as 'on line work'. Art is created by carefully drawing lines. Adding dots and dashes increases the sense of movement and detail.
