The zardozi embroidery is a handicraft and textile signature of Lucknow, Hyderabad, Farrukhabad & Chennai. 

Zardosi is an art that uses metallic coated thread to make beautiful, intricate designs on cloth. To make these elaborate designs, the thread is held with a finger at the reverse of the fabric and the aari, a needle with a sharp point, is held on the top. Craftsmen use materials like sequins, beads, pearls, precious and semi-precious stones to sew on the fabric in elaborate patterns.

It takes lot of meticulousness to hand embroider each piece. So, you are not purchasing a bag but a piece of art.
